Unique accommodation at Varberg’s fortress
Inside the mighty fortress wall, and in the middle of the centuries-old environment, lies the Fortress’s rooms by the sea. You will stay in the cozy old fortress houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries and have the whole exciting fortress to explore right outside the door. In the historic fortress environment, it is easy to relax and find peace, here there is time for reflection. Look out over the clear horizon and listen to the sound of the waves. Just below the fortress is the mighty North Sea and offers salty baths and beautiful beach promenade. Varberg’s cozy town center with shops and restaurants is just a short walk away.
At Varberg’s fortress there is also a museum and café. At Halland’s Cultural History Museum, the famous Bocksten man is displayed. As a guest with us at Fästningens, you get free admission to the museum during autumn and spring.
